There are lots of nice places to visit in Rio Grande do Sul, but Serra is one of the best ones, specially for people who like cold places, good food and European style. The most famous city in the Serra is Gramado, it is nice to go there when the Cinema Festival is happening, where they show not only Brazilians movies, but movies from all Latin America. It has attractions all the year long, such as “Natal Luz” or some marathons. For people who love cars there is the “Hollywood dream cars” where there are very old and exotic cars, and for those who love adventures they can find there “Snow Land”, beyond many other attractions.
Next to Gramado there is a city called Canela and it also has cool things to visit, for all interests, for people who like fashion there is the “Museu da Moda”, for the ones who like chocolates there is many chocolates factories, just like Gramado, there is a very cool park called “Alpen Park” with a sled that works like a roller coaster and cross a beauty place around the nature.
To visit Gramado you can go by car, by bus or by plane (only if you don´t live in Rio Grande do Sul), and if it´s your case you need to get in Porto Alegre's airport because there isn't any airport in Gramado, after getting there you have to go by bus or by car. If you want to visit both cities you need also to go by this way from one city to the other.
I love Gramado too. I have a house in the Vila Carniel between Gramado and Canela. I usually go there twice a month. My mother and my father love to take care of the garden and my little brother stays with them. It´s very cool. I´m almost of the time studying and eating because the food is very good. I go there by car and sometimes by bus too. In the city there are touristic buses to take people to the most interesting places.
