Nova Petropolis is situated in the east part of Rio Grande do Sul and is one of the most touristic spot near Porto Alegre (the capital).
There's a lot of interesting activities and places for you to visit, here're a few:
Ninho das Aguias: it's the most beautiful scenic overlook you'll find there, and that's not the only thing, besides enjoying the view and the nature, you can also paraglide, parachute and sky dive
If your hanging around downtown you can visit Praça das Flores, which contents a big maze, once you get into it, it appears to be no way out! And then you just have to keep going to find the centre, besides of course, of the way out.
Once you're out of the maze you can still enjoy your tour by walking around the garden and buying artisanal artefacts from the souvenir store.
Another place you can't miss is the Aldeia do Imigrante Park. All from knitwear, artisanal and colonial products to the "Biergarten" are over there; besides, all the big town parades occur there.
