What to do in Rio Grande do Sul - Brazil?

If you are a tourist or a simple Brazilian citizen, you shouldn't miss all the places this beautiful country offers to you, and, today, we are here to show you a specific place situated in Rio Grande do Sul, a south Brazil state.
Cambará do Sul is a city located 185km from Porto Alegre, the state's main city. It has an altitude of 1.050 meters and estimates a population of 7.000 people. It is also located at the coast, near to the Hortênsias and Uva e Vinho regions. The weather there is pretty similar to London's, cold during winter, fresh and warm during summer, and high levels of humidity during the whole year. It can snow in the winter.

It has 7,5km of extension, 2.000 meters of spread and an altitude of 1.240 meters above the sea level. Its walls reminds people of strongholds, that's why they call it Fortaleza (stronghold in Portuguese).

Main walkways:

- Trilha do Mirante: where you can see how big the canyon is and, in clear day, parts of the coast.

  1. Hello! My name is João Vicente Cardoso Kohem, from the 1E class. Like you, I've been in Cambara do Sul, twice, one in the middle of this year. It's really a very beautiful and wonderful place to stay; the inns, restaurants, canyons, everything is very good! It's amazing the amount of fauna that the place possesses! In relation to the public transport of the town, there's not much to say; the town is small, and gives to walk quietly from one place to another, or go by car. There isn't public transportation to the parks and the canyons of Cambara, is only possible by car. Finally, I recommend staying in the Vila Ecologica's Inn, where I stayed both times when I visited the place.
