Turkmenistan
HISTORY:
 
Former republic of the former Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR ) , Turkmenistan is located in Asia and has borders with Iran ( south ) , Afghanistan ( SE) , Uzbekistan ( north and east ) and Kazakhstan ( NW) , in addition to being bathed by the Caspian Sea ( west ) . A independência nacional foi conquistada no início da década de 1990. Desde então, o país passou a integrar a Comunidade dos Estados Independentes bloco formado pela Rússia e as antigas repúblicas da URSS.

Turkmen (official), Russian
RELIGIONS:
Islam 88.2 % without religion 8.7% , other 1.8% , 1.3% atheism.
CULINARY:
The cuisine of Turkmenistan does not differ much from the neighboring Central Asian countries , especially those who have a history of nomadic herdsmen , and is composed mainly of rice, vegetables and mutton, beef and poultry , and dairy products. Meals usually start with a soup , the chorba meat and vegetables. The bread, naan type and known locally as " çörek " or churek , traditionally cooked in a tandoor , you can never miss. Food is served in a cloth spread on the floor , diners can not play with your feet
CULTURE:
Turkmenistan is a country without its own culture , beginning they do not know whether they are Turks or Kazakhs trying to assimilate the cultures of its neighbors, including the Soviets, but finishing as a country without identity. With a little effort you can find some Turkmen cultural peculiarities , such as the huge strange tendency to bestiality . Suffice to say, for example, that the Turkmen law permits marriage between men and mares, although it prohibits any union ( under very high penalty ) between men and horses male homosexuality because there is no tolerance in Turkmenistan . Another peculiarity is civil polygamy which is the polite way of Turkmen define the support swing.
